Description
This is a comprehensive guidebook covering the sport climbing areas and bouldering areas in Zillertal near the town of Mayrhofen. Zillertal is located in a beautiful Alpine valley in the Austrian state of Tyrol, which is home to huge granite blocks of all shapes and sizes scattered along the valley floor. These wonderful granite blocks provide hundreds of single pitch sport routes and world class bouldering areas. This is a great summer destination and is easily and quickly accessible from Innsbruck (around 1 hours drive).33 single pitch sport climbing areas are covered including the excellent crags of Ewige Jagdgründe, Nasenwand, Bergstation and Tulfer. 17 bouldering areas are covered including Zillergrund, Sundergrund and Ginzling.
All the routes and bouldering problems are shown on colour photo topos. At the start of each area/crag there is detailed approach information and a location map. Symbols then indicate the overall quality of the crag (rated out of 5 stars), walking approach time, best time of the year to climb, and the number of routes at each grade.
Published in June 2018 (2nd Edition) this guidebook is in German text with the approach information for each crag also in English text. Each guidebook has unique code to download an App to the full guidebook that is free of charge.
