Description

This is the definitive guidebook covering the bouldering at the Niagara Glen area in Ontario, downstream from the famous Niagara Falls.

The Niagara Glen area is protected Nature Park that attracts walkers, cyclists as well as climbers. The area has a fairly temperate climate, and given the fairly short nature of the bouldering problems, it is possible to climb at Niagara Glen throughout the year. The summer is the most popular time to boulder at Niagara Glen, though the autumn and spring are the optimum times to boulder here. Though there is likely to be snow on the ground in the winter, on sunny and mild winter days the rock can feel quite warm.

The guidebook covers over 600 problems on the limestone rocks of the Niagara Glen. The vast majority of the routes are in the V0 to V6 grade range, with all the problems shown on colour photo topos along with a description. At the start of each main area there is a detailed location map, and brief introduction to the bouldering to be found, along with a table showing the grade spread. Additional boulder maps are also included, showing the location of the boulder problems along with GPS co-ordinates for key spots.

Published in October 2019 this is the first published guidebook for the Niagara Glen bouldering area, and is in English text throughout. Each guidebook has unique code to download an App of the full guidebook that is free of charge.
