Description

This Cycling Hadrian's Cycleway guidebook describes a coast-to-coast cycling route from Ravenglass to South Shields.

The route is 174 miles long and starts by heading up the Cumbrian coast before reaching the Solway AONB, and then crossing northern England along Hadrian's Wall and into Northumberland.  It is suitable for cyclists of all abilities and follows cycle paths and quiet country roads.

Highlights of the route allow cyclists to explore Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site, visit Roman forts including Vindolanda and Housesteads, plus the Cumbrian coast, Tyne Valley and the famous Sycamore Gap.

The guidebook describes the route from west to east over 3 days and includes many maps.  Information is also provided on how to complete the route from east to west. It also features extensive listings of accommodation, bike shops and other cyclist-friendly facilities.
