Description
This rock climbing guidebook for Mallorca describes a wide selection of the bolted sport routes to be found on the island of Mallorca.
The guidebook describes over 1,500 sport routes across a wide range of grades, from F3 to F9a+. In total 31 separate sport climbing areas are described that are spread across the whole of the island. The majority of the sport crags are in the north and west of the island and include Puig de Garrafa, S’estret, Sa Gubia, Caimari, and Fraguel amongst others.
The guidebook is split into 7 main areas and covers the following crags:
The Southwest Area: Can Ortigues, Capdella, Mont Port, Cala Llamp, C'an Formiga, Puig de Garrafa, Santa Ponça, Ca's Català, Sa Cantera
Valldemossa Area: Penyal d'es Grau, Es Verger, S'estret, Valldemossa
Bunyola Area: Sa Gubia, Fraguel
North of the Mountains Area: Port de Sóller, C'an Nyic, Gorge Blau
South of the Mountains Area: Alaró, Caimari, Es Grau des Ruc
The Northeast Area: La Creveta, El Fumat, Puig St. Marti, El Calo de Betlem
The East Coast Area: Son Servera, Sa Mola de Felantix, Cala Magraner, Torre d'en Beu, Tijuana
All the routes are illustrated on full colour photo topos with French sport grades used throughout. At the start of each area there is a good overall description detailing the style of climbing to be found. In addition, there is a good location map, QR codes for the parking areas, and information on the weather conditions to be expected.
