Description

This is the definitive guidebook describing all the sport climbing and rock climbing at Ceuse.  Ceuse is a world class climbing area blessed with beautifully pocketed limestone rock, outstanding lines and in a magical location.  It is famous for its outstanding hard routes on overhanging rock at sectors such as “Biographie”. However, not all the routes at Ceuse are hard with many sectors providing a wide range of routes and styles across the grade range, including some multi-pitch routes up to 4-pitches long.  Also included are some trad routes and bouldering.

This Ceuse guidebook describes over 700 routes that are all shown on colour photo topos.  The vast majority of them are sport routes, though there are some trad routes as well that are shown in a different colour on the topos.  At the start of the guidebook there is detailed access information on how to get to Ceuse, along with approach maps and descriptions on how to access each sector.

Ceuse is at an altitude of over 1,700m, so the best time to climb at Ceuse is from late spring through to the autumn.  The crag faces east, south and west, so it is always possible to find the sun or shade.

Published in July 2023 (revised 2nd edition) this guidebook is in French and English text throughout and includes more than 150 new routes than the previous edition.
