Description
This guidebook describes the sport climbing in the Domogled-Valea Cernei National Park, located in southwest Romania, close to the border with Serbia and Bulgaria. The climbing is located along the Cerna Valley, near the spa town of Baile Hercilane.
The guidebook describes around 900 sport routes from F5’s to F9a+ on good quality limestone rock. In total there are 14 different crags, and includes Cascada Vânturătoarea, which is the premier crag of the area. The majority of the routes are single pitch, though there are some multi-pitch routes up to 3-pitches long.
All the routes are shown on clear topos, along with their height. At the start of each crag there is a location map and approach information. There is also a table showing the number of routes in each grade bracket.
