This guidebook describes the Cretan Way that is a 500km walking route from Kato Zakros in eastern Crete to Chrisoskalitisa in western Crete. This route takes you across the varied and spectacular landscapes of Crete including its beautiful rural mountains and coastal regions.

This guidebook splits the Cretan Way into a 28-day walk and hence has 28 chapters. Each chapter includes maps, route descriptions, photographs, GPS tracking, accommodation information and tips for walking one of the most remarkable long-distance routes in the world. The guidebook also describes many variants to the Cretan Way, such as replacing some of the remote higher mountain sections with lower altitude variations.

Published by Anavasi in May 2023 (revised 3rd edition) this guidebook is in English text throughout and is the first ever guidebook for the Cretan Way route.
