Sydney Climbing Guidebook - Selected Crags
Description
This is a selective guidebook describing the very best rock climbing around Sydney. There is a great variety of climbing to be found all around Sydney with both sport and trad options available. The crags range from the idyllic Barrenjoey in the north, delightful bush crags in the north-west, sea-cliff climbing in the eastern suburbs, inner-city Earlwood, to the big steep urban fringe Campbelltown crags in the south-west, and Sutherland Shire’s line up of classic crags in the south.
In total the guidebook covers 24 different crags, describing 1,145 routes. All shown on colour photo topos, along with a description. Routes are colour coded to indicate if they are sport, trad, or a mixed (some bolts but trad gear is also required). For each crag there is description of the style of the climbing to be found, along with access information, an approach map, and a QR code for the parking GPS co-ordinates. Symbols are used to indicate the number of routes in each grade bracket, walk in times, time when the crag is in the shade/sun, and if the crag is child friendly.
