Escalades en Vercors, Chartreuse et Dévoluy is a selected guidebook describing 389 multi-pitch routes at Vercors, Chartreuse and Dévoluy.  These 3 massifs surround Grenoble in southeast France.

The guidebook describes 389 multi-pitch routes up to 600m long across 48 different climbing areas.  27 of these areas are in Vercors, 15 areas in Chartreuse, and 6 areas in Dévoluy. Most of these routes are between 150m to 300m long and cover a wide range of grades. 

The routes are long, and are often situated in a wild, alpine setting with varying amount of fixed protection.  This ranges from:

1. Fully bolted routes.
2. Partially bolted routes that will need to be supplemented with some trad gear such as cams and nuts.
3. Very little fixed gear that will need to be supplemented with a full trad rack such as cams and nuts.

All the multi-pitch routes are generally shown on colour photo topos, or very detailed hand-drawn topos, and are given French Alpine grades.  Symbols indicate the type of fixed protection found on the route and there is also a brief description.  All the areas are shown on locations maps along with approach and descent information.

Published in 2024 (revised 2^nd edition) this guidebook is in French text throughout.  There is also a short dictionary translating a list of important phrases into English, German, Italian and Spanish.
