The Rocklands bouldering guidebook is the definitive guidebook covering the world famous sandstone bouldering area of Rocklands in South Africa. The area is situated 250km north of Cape Town, close to the town of Clanwilliam. The bouldering is situated in the Cederberg Wilderness, and is split into 3 main areas; Pakhuis; Agterpakhuis; and Wupperthal Commanage.
In total over 2,000 boulder problems are described ranging in grade from Font 2 though to Font 8C+. All the problems are illustrated on either detailed boulder maps or colour photo topos, along with a short description. Fontainebleau grades are used throughout. At the start of each area there is a location map, a description on how to get there and a brief description of the bouldering to be found.
Published in September 2025 this is the revised 3rd edition of this guidebook and is written in English text throughout. It includes many excellent action colour photographs, along with lots of useful information on staying in the area as well as information on things to do on rest days.
