Patones Sport Climbing Guidebook

Description

This is the comprehensive guidebook to the limestone rock climbing area of Patones, which is located near the village of Torrelaguna to the north of Madrid. Here the style of climbing is all about steep single pitch sports routes with everything from pocketed vertical walls to huge roofs.  In total the guidebook describes are over 960 routes spread over 5 main crags, with the largest crag being Ponton de la Oliva.  The other 4 crags are Penarrubia, Los Alcores, Patones Pueblo and Canon de Uceda. 

At the start of each crag there is a location map plus a series of good quality photographs showing all the different sectors of the crag, along with QR codes for the parking areas.  All the routes are shown of clear photo topos along with their French grade.  The vast majority of the routes are in the F6a to F7c grade range, though there are also a number of harder routes as well. 

Published in March 2026 by Desnivel, this guidebook is written in Spanish text throughout.
