This is the definitive guidebook describing all the bouldering found in the mountains of North Wales.  It includes all the classic areas and is split in 5 main areas, these being:

1. Llanberis Pass (Dyffryn Peris)
2. Ogwen Valley (Dyffryn Ogwen)
3. Eastern Crags – north of Beddgelert and across to Capel Curig and Betws y Coed
4. Southern crags – south of Beddgelert around Tremadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog
5. Western crags – south of Caernarfon around Rhyd Ddu, Nantlle and Waun Fawr

All the problems are shown on colour photo topos, along with a description, with Font grades are used throughout.  The guidebook details almost 80 separate crags and over 3,000 problems from Font 2a to Font 8b. There are extensive area maps for each of the 5 main areas, plus individual crag approach maps and GPS coordinates for the parking spots.  At the start of the book there is an extensive crag assessment table providing information such total number of problems with grade spread, approach time, aspect, altitude, quality of the landing (how many pads are required), and a quick description.

Published in February 2021 by Ground Up this is the third edition of this guidebook and it includes many new areas and problems than the previous edition.  Volume 2 covering the coastal Crags and North East Limestone of North Wales will be published later in 2021.
