Haegefjell Rock Climbing and Bouldering Guidebook
Description
This guidebook describes over 180 boulder problems and 16 long multi-pitch routes at Haegefjell, Nissedal in southern Norway.
The bouldering is split into 4 areas with problems across a wide range of grades from Fb 3 to Fb 8a. The 4 areas covered are as follows:
- Haegefjelltjorni
- Meandersvingen
- Sjefsteinen
- Det torre elveleiet
All the boulder problems are shown on colour photo topos, along with overhead boulder maps for each sector. Symbols indicate how good the landings are, ranging from very safe (no spotter required) to serious (multiple mats to and various spotters required).
The guidebook describes 16 multi-pitch routes that are between 300m and 500m long, ranging between Norwegian 5- to 8- that equates to French 5a to 7b. All of the multi-pitch routes are shown on both colour topos and hand drawn topos along with a detailed description. Also indicated are the number of bolts on each route, though the style and ethic of these routes is for mixed protection. So a standard Trad rack is also required along with double ropes, though the belays tend to be bolted.
