Description

A comprehensive guidebook covering the sport climbing and trad climbing around Bergen in southwest Norway.  It covers 2,337 routes, of which 1,580 are sport and 757 are trad across 115 crags.  These crags are dotted all around Bergen with both sea cliffs and inland venues to choose from.  The vast majority of the routes are single pitch, though there are some multi-pitch routes up to 90m long.  There are routes for everyone, with grades from F4’s to F8s’s, with the majority of the routes in the F6a to F7a range.

All the routes are shown on colour photo topos.  At the start of each major area there is a location map, and for each crag there is approach information and a QR code for the parking.  Symbols indicate if the climbing is sport or trad, style of climbing and approach time.

At the start of the guidebook there is a comprehensive crag planner that shows the spread of grades.   Shown on the planner are 29 climbing areas that are easily accessible by public transport, making it a great alternative to driving yourself and the possibility for urban life in the evening!

Published in 2024 this guidebook is in Norwegian text throughout but a large amount of information is conveyed by symbols.
