Bavella Rock Climbing Guidebook

Description

This Bavella guidebook describes a selection of 180 multi-pitch rock climbing routes (not 170 as stated on the cover) in Bavella Massif in southeast Corsica.  The rock climbing at Bavella is found on a series of granite towers located around Col de Bavella (1,122m high) and smaller rock faces and slabs lower in the valley.  The guidebook covers a wide of routes from AD to ED with the emphasis on adventure climbing that is the norm in Bavella.  Also included are the sport climbing crags of Col de Bavella.

The guidebook covers 180 granite multi-pitch routes across 10 different areas, with the routes typically between 100 and 300m long.  The style of these routes range from fully bolted through to fully Trad routes, though the norm is for a mixture of bolts and Trad gear.  Each route is shown on a colour photo topo, along with a detailed description and what gear (trad) is required, plus a detailed description of the approach.

Published in April 2025 this guidebook is in French and English text throughout.
