Walking on Jersey Guidebook
Description
This Cicerone guidebook describes 24 walking routes and the Jersey Coastal Walk on the island of Jersey. The walks range from 4.5km (3 miles) to 12.5km (8 miles) long and include both coastal and inland walks. Almost all of the walks link directly with other walks, allowing for all kinds of extensions to the route. The walks can also be joined together to create the 80km (50 mile) Jersey Coastal Walk that is part of the Channel Island Way.
For each walk there is a clear step-by-step route description and is shown on a map at a scale of 1:25,000. Jersey has an excellent bus network and many of the walks can be accessed easily by public transport. Jersey is famous for its sunshine, year-round walking, history and a wonderful coastline.
The guidebook includes a summary table making it easy to choose the ideal walk. As well as excellent walking, Jersey has plenty of fascinating historical sites and attractions to visit, including castles, churches and museums. The guide includes a brief overview of Jersey's turbulent history and unusual constitutional status, as well as notes on local points of interest.
