Trekking The GR11 Trail (La Senda) Guidebook
Description
This is a comprehensive guidebook describing the GR11 Trail (La Senda) in the Spanish Pyrenees. This coast-to-coast route is 850km long and starts at Irun on the Atlantic coast and finishes at Cap de Creus on the Mediterranean coast. Over the years the GR11 has become a well-defined hiking trail which mostly goes over good hiking paths through largely unspoilt and wild mountains and is suitable for experienced mountain hikers.
The GR11 is one of the long-distance trails which crosses the whole Pyrenees, staying on the Spanish side of the border. The guidebook breaks the GR11 route down into 47 stages that are between 7km and 31km long. For each stage there is a step-by-step route description and 1:100,000 mapping. Also included is a route summary table and a stage facilities planner to help plan itineraries, and detailed information on planning, local flora and fauna and accommodation.
