This is a selective guidebook to the popular trad sea cliff climbing at Pembroke and the Gower in South Wales. The guidebook covers the following areas:
Pembroke – Extensive coverage of North Pembroke and all the popular areas in the Range East area, from Flimstone Bay around to Mother Carey's Kitchen and Penally – a total of 34 crags.
The Gower – A selection of the best trad routes from Rhossili to Crab Island – a total of 12 crags.
Vale of Glamorgan Coast – Box Bay and Ogmore.
The guidebook covers over 2,000 routes that includes some deep water soloing (DWS) in Pembroke. It covers a wide selection of grades with the Gower being particularly good for the lower to mid-range routes. The grade split is as follows:
450 routes up to Severe
607 routes from HS to HVS
606 routes from E1 to E3
378 routes from E4 to E6
43 routes E7 and above.
All the routes are shown on large colour phot topos along with a description. For each crag there is a description of the style of climbing to be found, access details including abseil approach (if relevant) and tide information.
