Dartmoor Rock Climbing and Bouldering Guidebook
Description
This is the definitive guidebook describing the trad rock climbing and bouldering in Dartmoor. These granite Tors offer an abundance of classic routes and recently developed bouldering across the whole of Dartmoor.
The guidebook is split into 5 areas, these being, The Dewerstone, Haytor, Moors Tors North, Moor Tors South, plus Bovey and Teign Valleys. The Dewerstone and Haytor are the popular climbing areas with many mid-grade classic routes. Bonehill near Haytor is one of the largest bouldering areas in Dartmoor with over 150 problems. Aside from these there are many other Tors scattered north and south of Dartmoor that provide away-from-crowds climbing and bouldering in a remote setting. The Bovey Valley offers technical and bold routes for the high E-grade climber and lots of bouldering.
This Dartmoor guidebook covers over 600 routes and 1,200 boulder problems across a wide range of grades. All the routes and boulder problems are shown on full colour photo topos.
Published in January 2017 by the Climbers Club, it also includes plenty of Devonian tongue-in-cheek banter and wit, plus many stunning action photographs. It is the sister guidebook to South Devon that covers all the climbing, deep water soling and bouldering to the south of Dartmoor.
