Description
This is a comprehensive guidebook describing the sport climbing found in Cantabrian Mountains of north-west Spain, which extends from Gijon on the north coast to the city of Leon. The guidebook is split into 4 main areas, these being; The Leon area; The Trubia Valley around Entrgo; Asturias Centro near Oviedo; and the Picos de Europe Valley (Y Oriente de Asturias).
The guidebook covers 95 limestone crags including Hermida, Teverga, Quiros, Pelugano, Valdehuesa and Valle de Pedrosa, which are some of the larger crags in this area. In total 5,750 routes are described across a wide range of grades.
At the start of each crag there is a location map, a description of the style and character of the climbing to be found, and the best time to climb. Symbols indicate when the sector is in the sun or shade, its orientation, and how far the walk-in is. GPS coordinates are given for the parking areas.
Published in 2022 (revised 3rd edition) this guidebook is in English and Spanish text throughout. Each guidebook has unique code to download an App to the full guidebook that is free of charge.
