Description

This bouldering guidebook for La Dehesa describes 100’s of problems from Fb3 to Fb8a+ on good quality granite boulders.  La Dehesa is situated 4km from Candelario (in Salamanca) to the west of Madrid and is now firmly established as a premier bouldering venue is Spain.

The bouldering is spread out across a wide area from meadows through to the depths of forests, with the majority situated in valleys formed by rivers and streams that flow through the area.  The bouldering is largely characterised by overhangs with crimps, along with some slabs and roofs.  The average height of the boulders is around 4m high though there are some boulders up to 7m high.

La Dehesa offers a wide variety of problems, which makes it ideal for both medium grade climbers and beginners.  Access to many of the sector’s is easy and quick (5 to 10 minute walk-ins), making it ideal for families.  Also, there are many problems in the Fb8’s, along with an enormous potential for future projects.

All the problems are shown on colour photo topos.  For each sector there is an overall boulder map, a table showing the grade spread, a description of the style of the bouldering to be found, plus access information.
