Nils Favre bouldering on 666 o diabo vive at Peninha

The photograph opposite shows Nils Favre bouldering on 666 o diabo vive at Peninha, Sintra.

Peninha is a classic bouldering area close to Sintra, and is one of the best options for hot summer days. The rock is grey granite with a hard grain, and the style of bouldering uses a predominance of slopers and compression holds.

This photograph was taken by Ricardo Alves and it appears in the Portugal rock climbing guidebook that is available to buy from our shop.
