Joao Pena bouldering on Pes de Arrasto (7c) at Malveirs

The photograph opposite shows Joao Pena bouldering on Pes de Arrasto (7c) at Malveirs, Sintra.

Malveirs is a classic bouldering area close to Sintra. The rock is yellow/white granite with a medium to hard grain. The rock dries very fast and has a predominance for steep and powerful problems.

This photograph was taken by Ricardo Alves and it appears in the Portugal rock climbing guidebook that is available to buy from our shop.
