This guidebook covers a wealth of rock climbing in South Wales with both trad and sport routes covered.  The area covered in the guidebook has a huge variety of rock types from limestone escarpments overlooking the Brecon Beacons, through to sandstone quarries in the Valleys, to adventure sea cliff climbing on the Jurassic Coast of South Wales.

The guidebook describes 1,500 of the best routes in South Wales at 43 different crags including Dinas Rock, Gilwern, Sirhowy, Castle Quarry, The Gap, Ferndale, Box Bay, Witches Point and Ogmore to name a few of them. There is a great variety of climbing with trad routes from Diff to E6, sport routes from to F4 to F8a+, bouldering and Deep Water Soloing.

All the routes are shown on colour photo topos, along with a description.  For each crag there is detailed access information plus a clear approach map and post codes for the parking.

Published by the Climber’s Club in association with South Wales Climbing Wiki in December 2020, this hybrid guidebook combines the convenience of a selective book with the completeness of a comprehensive guidebook.
