Bouldering in Sardinia is a comprehensive guidebook covering the bouldering on this popular island.  It describes 31 different bouldering areas across Sardinia, with locations both on the coast and inland.  The vast majority of the bouldering in Sardinia is on excellent, weather worn, granite rock, along with the occasional limestone and basalt areas.

The guidebook is split into 7 main areas, which are:

  1. Sarrabus, located in the southeast of Sardinia near Cagliari. 4 areas covered including Rio Cannas and The Ring.
  2. Geremeas, located in the southeast of Sardinia near Cagliari. 5 areas covered including Mari Pintau.
  3. Torre Delle Stelle, located in the southeast of Sardinia near Cagliari. 6 areas covered including Superfox
  4. Campidano, located on the west side of Sardinia. 4 areas covered including Monte Arci.
  5. Ogliastra, located on the east side of Sardinia. 2 areas covered including Serra Oseli.
  6. Barbagia, located in the centre, and on the east side of Sardinia near Nuoro. 4 areas covered including Monte Ortobene, Ollolai, and Orotelli.
  7. Gallura, located on the northeast side of Sardinia near Olbia. 6 areas covered including La Cerra, and Luogosanto.

All the problems are shown on colour photo topos, along with comprehensive boulder maps.  For each of the 31 bouldering areas there is a brief description of the bouldering to be found, GPS coordinates, access information, altitude, and the best time of the year to boulder.

Published in October 2022 this guidebook is in English text throughout, along with a good selection of action shots that give an accurate flavour of each area covered.  It also has chapters on the bouldering ethics, plus loads of other useful general information for the visiting climber.
