Avon Gorge Rock Climbing Guidebook

This is the definitive rock climbing guidebook covering the Avon Gorge, situated in the centre of Bristol. This historical limestone crag offers both single pitch and multi-pitch traditional routes. All the routes are shown on colour photo topos including a description.

The guidebook is split into 4 areas, these being:
(1) Suspension Bridge Area
(2) Main Wall Area
(3) Sea Walls Area
(4) Leigh Woods Area on the west side of the gorge opposite the Main Wall

The climbing in Leigh Woods area is in a series of quarries that offer a mixture of traditional routes, sport routes and some bouldering, and are situated on the opposite side of the river to the main crags.

This Avon Gorge climbing guidebook was published in January 2017 by the Climbers Club, and reflects the significant restoration work carried out by the Climb Bristol team over recent years.
