Bornholm on the rocks guidebook
This is a comprehensive guidebook describing the rock climbing and bouldering found on the island of Bornholm, Denmark’s best and largest rock climbing area. All the climbing and bouldering is on excellent granite rock with a mixture of trad sea cliff climbing and sport climbing in granite quarries. The access to these sea cliff outcrops is easy with no need to abseil in.
The guidebook is split into 13 major climbing areas, and over 750 routes and boulder problems are described across a wide range of grades and styles. All the routes are shown on colour photo topos along with a description. At the start of each area is a clear location map and detailed access information, along with GPS co-ordinates.
Published in October 2020 (revised 2nd edition), this guidebook is in English and German text throughout. The guidebook also acts as a good travel guide to Bornholm, with details of how to get there, where to stay, and what to do on rest days. Also included is some general history about Bornholm.
