Walking the Coast to Coast Long Distance Path

The Coast to Coast long distance path is 190 miles (304 km) long, and was originally created by Alfred Wainwright.

The coast to coast walking and hiking route starts at St Bees on the west coast, then through the mountains and lakes of the Lake District, onto the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, before finishing at Robin Hood's Bay on the east coast.

Highlights of the Coast to Coast path include; The Lake District with its rugged mountains and beautiful lakes; The Yorkshire Dales with its rolling hills and pretty valleys; and The North York Moors with its expansive heather moorland. Coupled with these highlights are some dramatic coastal scenery at each end of the walk.
