Mexican rock climbing photographs

The photograph shows an unknown climber on Pam Am route at the Canon Tajo in the Baja California Norte area of Mexico.  Pan Am is 500m long with a crux pitch of 5.12+.

Canon Tajo is in a remote and isolated region of Mexico.  Getting there is really complex and a challenge itself.  The climbing is excellent though with around 300 routes on granite rock, from single pitch to big wall multi-pitch routes up to 500m long.  There are fully bolted slabby routes, mixed climbing and traditional climbing with plenty of cracks.

Canon Tajo is covered by the Mexican rock climbing guidebook – North, which is available to buy our shop.
