Rock climbing photograph at Dun Seanna Head, Ireland
The photograph shows David Flanagan on Giraffe (VS 4c) at Dun Seanna Head crag in County Kerry.
Dun Seanna Head crag is a great sandstone sea cliff that is located near Dingle Town. The climbing is steep with plenty of positive holds but in a very atmospheric setting. Most of the routes follow cracks or corners but the standout feature is the slender sea stack. This can be seen in the background of the photograph and is known as The Needle.
The photograph was taken by Peter McMahon, and appears in the Rock Climbing in Ireland Guidebook that is available to buy from our shop.
